Combat terms
Active Skill — a Hero ability used directly on the field; Active Skills can stack a Status Ailment and prepare a Signal response. Signal Skill — a compatible follow-up that answers the target state and brings the responding Hero into the sequence. Switching Signal — the handoff that continues a combo through party slots.
Status Ailment — one of nine official combat states: physical Stun, Down, Airborne, or Break, and elemental Burn, Chill, Poison, Shock, or Bleed. Current roster references also use the labels Knockdown and Freeze. Three-Hero team — the active formation shown in official gameplay, with each portrait representing a possible setup or response.
World and character terms
Orbis — the first kingdom built by humankind and the central destination on the Continent of Orbis. Hero — one of 19 launch combat characters, each associated with a Status Ailment ability. Familiar — a collectible companion that travels with and supports the party.
Red Fox Mercenaries — the mercenary group that pulls Lute into its chaotic daily life. Organa Order — another faction represented across the named Hero roster. Six Heroes — the legendary group that defeated the earlier Dragon 60 years before the current story.

Release terms
Standard Edition — the complete base game. Deluxe Edition — the base game plus digital artbook, original soundtrack, and Brave Baby Dragon Familiar. Abyssal Direwolf — a Familiar DLC offered at a 100 percent discount through August 31, 2026.
Hero Quest — roadmap story content centered on a Hero. Rift — purple anomaly content announced for the second half of 2026. Quality-of-life update — planned improvements to routine play; exact changes belong to dated patch notes.
