DragonSword Awakening release date and worldwide launch time

The DragonSword Awakening release date is one global moment rather than a series of regional launches. Players in Korea and Japan see July 23, while North American time zones see the afternoon or evening of July 22. Steam can display a date based on account region, so use the hour—not only the calendar label—when coordinating a download or launch stream.

No pre-purchase was offered in the release announcement. Wishlisting and following the game were the stated ways to receive the automatic Steam launch notification.

Standard and Deluxe editions

At the DragonSword Awakening release date, the Standard Edition contains the full base game. Deluxe adds the digital artbook, original soundtrack, and limited Brave Baby Dragon Familiar. Hound13 has also announced separate costume and Familiar DLC after launch. The game is a paid package release rather than the earlier live-service draw-game plan described by the developers.

Abyssal Direwolf is a separate launch-celebration Familiar DLC discounted by 100 percent through August 31, 2026. It is not listed as a Deluxe-exclusive item.

Minimum and recommended PC requirements

The minimum specification is Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5-9400F, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1660, DirectX 12, and 25 GB on an SSD. Recommended moves to an Intel Core i7-9700F, 16 GB RAM, and GeForce RTX 3060 while keeping Windows 10, DirectX 12, and 25 GB storage.

Steam's additional note says an SSD is strictly required for the intended experience. An HDD can produce extended loading, texture pop-in, frame-rate drops, or crashes. Treat the storage requirement as part of the minimum configuration.

Languages and controller support

The store record lists 11 languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Spanish for Spain, Russian, Thai, and Brazilian Portuguese. Interface, subtitles, and voice support can differ, so check the language table on Steam for the exact column needed.

Steam also lists DualShock and DualSense controller support, adjustable difficulty, custom volume controls, stereo sound, and surround sound.

Console plans

Producer JYJ said console preparation is intended after the Steam launch. The studio had not decided which console platform to prioritize. Do not treat a console version, platform, or date as scheduled until Hound13 publishes a specific announcement.

For launch, Windows PC on Steam is the only named shipping platform.

Questions

What is the DragonSword Awakening release date?

July 23, 2026 at 07:00 KST, which is July 22 at 15:00 PT and 18:00 ET. It is a worldwide simultaneous release, so players should compare the exact hour rather than only the calendar date shown for their Steam account region.

Is a console version announced?

Hound13 intends to begin console preparation after the Steam launch, but no console platform or release date has been selected. Windows PC through Steam is the only shipping launch platform; wait for a platform-specific Hound13 announcement before treating a console version as scheduled.

How much SSD space is required?

Steam lists 25 GB available space and states that an SSD is strictly required for the intended experience. An HDD can cause long loading, texture pop-in, frame-rate drops, or crashes, so storage should meet the requirement before graphics settings are adjusted.
